Ok Here is the deal.

My keywords were doing great with Adwords in the past.

Since Mid - September, I have been racking my brain trying to figure out what is going on..

k,

1) Landing pages are quick to load so that is fine..
2) Keyword Relevence - NO problem there..

Here is what Google Adwords is saying:

This page isn't highly relevant.

Based on the relevance of the associated keyword and ad text, page content, and page functionality.

Funny thing is that if I type in those KEYWORDS into google search, I am on page number 1 on all keywords with that landing page?

Any thoughts would be appreciated,

Cheers,

I don't have an answer, but if you're number one organically for all your keywords, why do you want to buy the ad anyway?

world domination Jill, World domination... :-)
I am on the first page of most keywords, and some @ #1
But I am very perplexed.. about how Adwords is viewing relevance????
My ads have dynamic keyword insertion in multiple places, could this be a problem??
I hate to stomp the champ, but any help would be appreciated??
Should I just delete all ad groups and start again??
Should I delete account and create new one??
I am perplexed??

This sounds like a problem where you actually need someone to look at it. Have you thought about hiring a PPC specialist consultant to take a look? Or even just talked to someone at Google?

I have never had much luck getting a hold of anyone at Google.. :-)

and as far as a PPC specialist.. :-(

I thought I was.. I am doing well on other campaigns, it is just this one that is killing me..

I think it might have something to do with historical data, but I am not sure..

I guess I will kill the account and start a new one...

Your ads? Or do you mean the landing page referenced by the ads?

The reason I ask is that when a spider visits the landing page it's not going to come from an ad display or with the keyword in the referring url query string. In which case these dynamic keyword insertions might not be automatically inserting anything at all, depending upon how your code is built. It needs to have an if-all-else-fails error function to insert something. Though even then it might not be picking the correct phrase if your ad group choices aren't fairly close.

What happens if you or someone else visits the page directly, without first passing through an ad click?

Good question, and I wish that was the problem..

When I spoke of Dynamic keyword insertion I was referring to the Actuall Google display ads???

So to answer your question.. NO the landing page is a static page....

Anything else you can think of, don't hesitate?

HELP!!!

Maybe it is just a waiting game??? but for how long??

Let me give you guys some info about the campaign..

Keywords in one group:

gifts for groomsmen
groomsmen gift
groomsmen gifts
unique groomsmen gifts

ONLY 4 KEYWORDS..

quality score is 1/10 due to landing page???

HELP???

I should add that all keywords are utilizing EXACT MATCH targeting...

Not sure what else to do?

Suggestions for throwing against the wall:

Do what they say
- Try visiting the pages via the ads, the appended URL parameter sometimes seems to mess with the page. Make sure they work.
- Try visiting the pages with JS disabled. Make sure they work.

Assume it's a bug & try to get it to reset:
- Try moving the ads & keywords into different adgoups
- Sounds dumb, but I have copied over campaigns to new accounts & gotten better results before. Open a new account & copy the campaigns over. (takes 10 minutes with the adwords editor)
- If that doesn't work, try copying the page content to a different page with a different URL. Maybe even just change the URL.
- Try sending visitors to a different landing page.
- Try sending visitors to a different site. (if its not your site, only do this for a couple of clicks)

All of the above & nothing helped? phew.gif.

Changes should be immediate. But youll probably need to get into the 500 - 1000+ clicks range before it settles down completely & you can gauge results. Good luck.

Yes could be, for some reason.
I noticed some of the pages (one click away) use js popups. Any way you could disable these temporarily to see if this is the issue. My guess is that these could be the culprit.

No, shouldn't. We often run ads to pages that can only be reached via the ads.

I have disabled, popups ------> NO CHANGE..

I have also changed landing pages to point to NO POPUP pages... ---> NO CHANGE..

I am not only confused but getting very frustrated... this was a good source of income prior to mid Sept change...

Anything else you can think of while I wait for someone at Google to return my 100th call and email??

Does anyone know if this article by GOOGLE is old??
http://adwords.googl...py?answer=47885

It basically states that adwords would visit your landing pages at least ONCE per MONTH..

finally got it solved... but there is still an issue with google adwords...

what I did is become my own affiliate...

opened a new URL put all my landing pages there, pointed the ads there and everything works great...

Google is still sending me idiotic automatic reponses with fixes that have nothing to do with the problem...

I just DONT think anyone really works at google.. :-)
