At last a useful update - most of my key phrases have improved.

Thanks you Google - you are (almost) forgiven.

Isn't it Lobo? (not barry)

It's from a Barry Manilow song. I can't remember who started calling him cantaloupe (maybe it was Saturday Night Live). What's Lobo?

Minerva, you're thinking of Mandy, not Brandy.
(And I'm so ashamed that I know anything about either of these.)

WOW, this update it GREAT!!!

I went from not existing after Florida, to 200 or so after Gladys. Now at #2 for my best key phrase.

I hope this change holds for a while :)

Right, Mandy is Barry. And I was wrong, Brandy is not Lobo, it's Looking Glass. (Close enough :) )

If 64.233.161.99 is what is going to be spreading to all the datacenters, I'm going to be a very happy as I will finally be back on page one for my relevant term. I just hope Google isn't doing this as temporary thing for the weekend to get us all to relax and leave our computers behind for Valentines Day.

I think I might have dreams rather than Google nightmares tonight.

Out of curiosity, is anyone seeing any increased spam or irrelevant SERPs with this new database??

I know, for my field, it is pretty good but I am wondering if some terms are getting slammed again?

Yup still some phrases are slammed but they are replaced by similiar type of sites, so it compensates, one webmaster gains and other looses,

Hi,

I am seeing the rankings for some sites which look like the kind they enjoyed pre-Florida update. And these are top rankings for keywords like payday loan advance, austin real estate, website promotion company etc.

So far there doesn't seem to be any drop in rankings for the websites in our kitty. Thank God for that.

GG confirmed to me over ww that what is on 64.xxx.xxx.xx is what is supposed to spread over the weekend. Seems like some of the cached data is older though. I just haven't been able to figure out how old yet

How certain are we that the new data center (64.233.161.99) is going to be the new results for google main data center?

I know noone can guarantee anything, but does most people feel at least 90% certain this is the case. I hope so, but there are disputes on other forums saying this data center is not the new results.

Steve.

Hello Steve eyes,

According to GoogleGuy,

the change will probably roll out over the course of the weekend.

And ofcourse this is not the new results, But we can say this is the newly cooked results, the backlinks update, fresh contents of the sites will be merged to this update algorithm,

Ok this datacentre ( http://216.239.37.98 ) is more updated but has the old ranking algorithm, so probably this data will be dumped to the other datacentre algorithm, that is what it seems to be,

So we can almost confirm ( http://64.233.161.99 ) will be the new google,

Just wait for the algorithm to roll out on the billions of fresh documents,

VIJAY,
