Hello SEO Experts,

Google launched a new project called 10 to the 100th.

The idea is that if you have a great idea and you need someone for investments, or if you have a great idea that you think it's hard to implement... then you submit it to Google before October 20th.

Google will then choose the best 100 ideas and will submit them to the public. The public in term will vote for the best ideas starting January 27th. Out of the most 20 ideas that people voted for, Google will choose 5 of them and will turn those ideas into real projects.

Google says they have arranged $10 million to implement these projects.

More details can be found here: http://www.project10...e100.com/?hl=en

And as Google say: "May Those Who Help The Most Win"

I have some great ideas in mind, but I don't think Google will choose them out of the whole world - Imagine your ideas out of 6 billion humans world wide! unsure.gif

Anyway Good Luck and I'm sure High Rankings members have great ideas that can be submitted.

Best regards,
Wassim

Just a note to anyone who thinks they'll get rich from submitting an idea.

In the dirty details you'll notice that Google will be choosing which organization to tap (and pay) to develop the winning ideas. This may or may not be you or an organization you represent. They reserve the right to fund another person/company/organization, who they decide will be best able to implement your idea. In other words, it ain't a get rich thing for the idea producers.

The FAQ has more info.

Sounds interesting!

And yes, Randy is correct. This is something you would do just because you want to help the world. In the FAQ Randy mentioned it says:

QUOTE
Q: What do I get if my idea is chosen?
A: You get good karma and the satisfaction of knowing that your idea might truly help a lot of people.

This is really dirty details Randy! I am totally disappointed... In fact, I don't plan to submit any ideas there anymore... Why would we submit our ideas to the world if someone else is going to *STEAL* it!
Ofcourse anyone would be happy to submit ideas to make the world better, but is Google doing this? Or they are doing this to turn your ideas into real projects and they will start making money from your own ideas?... and what you get yourself? You made the world better and Google more rich - and again nobody cares about you!

Some people might disagree with what I'm saying, but I think you all agree that it's dirty to call the project's title: "May Those Who Help The Most Win".

I submitted mine, and if someone benefits, then great. It took like 5mins.

Well, it's not a Find Investors contest or something like that Wassim. And the terms are out there for anyone to see. So I find no fault in what Google is doing. Note that they say they'll try to identify the best organization who can bring the idea to Life, not that they'll be doing that themselves.

The reason I raised the warning is that I'd seen in a couple of other places where people were basically saying the winning ideas would be getting something akin to Investor funding. And this is definitely not the case, as Google themselves make abundantly clear.
