Is there anyway to find the PR of a page if you don't have the GBar - I ask because it is not available with Moz

Only if the page is in Google's directory... or...

Does anyone have the desktop Google bar? I'm not sure, but I assumed the reason for that was so that you could use it with other browsers? <shrug> Maybe not.

ok but if the page is in the Google directory, where do I find the PR, without access to the bar.

I have the desktop but it does not show PR

Denyse, if you're on a category page in the Google Directory, like http://directory.goo...mization_Firms/ there's a visual representation of PR next to each listing. You can't mouse over it and get some numerical value, but you can at least look at it and compare it to other listings.

It won't give you an exact reading (like 5/10), but you will at least be able to see the green/grey bar. Just navigate to the directory (directory.google.com) and to the location of the website. I went here just randomly. http://directory.goo...Movies/History/ You can see on the left the "PR" of the sites.

You can also get pagerank using ABC PR which is free and against Google TOS.

A good approximation value is also located Here

I have seen this method (in www.webrankinfo.com i think):
http://www.google.co...client-auto&ch= 222222222&features= Rank&q=info:http://www.d.com
2222222 is checksum, and d.com your domain.
Result is something like this: Rank 3_3_PageRank
is it a valid method?

thanks for the link of ABC-PR

Many people do not know how to find their checksums for their sites in the temporary internet files...thats why I did not mention it.

Of course it is presumable that the average apple user probably knows a bit more about computers than the average windows user, but not all do...

No prob on the ABC PR link, just remember that sometimes that software is a bit shakey and doesn't work...its still good stuff for free though

Does ABC PR still work since they took down all the DNS records for www-xx.google.com
