I just started a wordpress blog a week back. I just used appropriate titles and tags to each post. And I get 20-35 visits each day.
The stats show that some visitors come because of the tags used. Are these people wordpress users? Or is it that any one can reach blogs through the tags?
Will similar visitors come if I integrate the wordpress blog into my site? Will tags work there?

Google tends to like tag pages, so it's probably just legitimate users from a variety of sources. Install Google Analytics to track exactly where they're coming from.

I suppose we cannot use google analytics with wordpress. Please correct me if I am wrong. Wordpress stats shows this:
Search Engine Terms:
These are terms people used to find your blog:
Today
<some searches>
Yesterday
<some searches>
Now I can expect that this kind of traffic can be received even if I blog from my website. Please note that I said that I can 'expect' this because its all about content.
What I am trying to find is something about the 'Referrers' in the wordpress stats:
Referrers:
People clicked links from these pages to get to your blog.
Today:
wordpress.com/tag/something1
wordpress.com/tag/something2
Yesterday:
wordpress.com/tag/something3
Can I 'expect' to get traffic from this source if I blog through my website?

Jill, it seems you thought that I'm talking about a blog on one's own domain (using wordpress blog software).
But I was talking about my blog on wordpress' domain. However, the source of this info was:

Oops sorry, you are correct. I've always used WP on my own domains and forgot for a min. that they had the hosted word press.
The solution then, is to host it yourself!
