Does buying blog posts/reviews help with building links, advertising, and gaining traffic?
I am thinking about buying blog posts for 3 of my sites for $100 across 2400 related-niche blogs. Will this be worthwhile for me or not? Is it worth it?
Pros and cons?

I assume you'd get what you pay for...a value of about 4 cents a post.
Personally, I'd call it a waste of money.

Personally, I believe this is just something you need to try for yourself and measure its success to see if it was worth it.

How many links do you think I would actually get out of it? I mean, 3 reviews will be posted on 2400 different URLs basically. I would imagine that Google would filter out many of them since all 2400 would be sharing the same content of those 3 reviews?
Do you think there would be any link value or link gain at all? And what about traffic, could you see any traffic being worth it?

Again, I don't believe these are questions that can be answered by anyone here because every site is different and every plan such as the one you outlined is different.
This is where just deciding to try it or not to try it really has to be made by you and you alone.

I am by no means a pro but I actually used to offer a service like this (sold it for dough) but I can tell you that your wasting your time.
As you said EGS in my experience google filters out all the non powerful blogs the articles go on.
You would be better off just getting personal reviews done on different blogs, more money but better quality links
