When a client buys a product from my site, an email is sent automaticly to them.
This has directions how the client can get the product.
Unfortunately, some messages are ending up in their spam folders.
This is ok if the client is PC savvy because they know where to look.
However, if they are not, they get worried that they have paid but not received anthing.
Is there a way to ensure the mail reaches them?
What are the best practices to prevent this problem
Thanks

Also encourage them to print that page for their records and let them know they should also be receiving an email with the same info. Tell them that if they don't receive it within 10 mins. to check their "spam folder" as it may have gotten trapped there.

However the problem is the critical info is in the email that is fed from a database
I have changed the purchase page telling them to check their spam folders.
Seems a bit hit and miss:((
Is there no other way to be sure the client gets the mail.

Yeh, I took your advice...
After the client pays he/she is directed to a conformation page.
I have clearly stated, on this page, that ...
"IMPORTANT
If, within 10 minutes, you do not receive an e-mail from mail@my-site.com
please check your "Junk Mail Folder" or "Spam Folder" in your e-mail client"
However, I am still getting mailīs from clients saying they paid but didnīt get the e-mail...
only to find it in their "Spam Folder" after I spell it out to look them!
GeeZZ, There must be a better way. Anyone know one?
