Hi evreybody,

Our website's URL has links like bellow:(or sometimes longer)

CODE
http://www.domain.com/xq/asp/dept./man_id.12/grp_id.265/grp_name./cat_id.873/cat_name./pro_id.2514560/qx/prod_details.htm

When I compared with other web sites I found it too long. I'm not a programmer.
What can I do to fix this issue? Is there any software or something else that can change my links and make them simple?
You think it has a negative point in search engines and ranking.

Thanks
Navid

There's no way to answer the question, other than maybe to say you need to change whatever cart or back end you're using.

From the looks of it you're using something offers so called SEO Friendly urls. Which with most of these systems means stripping out the variables and putting each one of those in a subdirectory or path.

You need to first figure out two things:

1. What's currently happening with your back end software.
and
2. How many of those variables are actually needed to deliver the page.

Then, depending upon the details you can decide if you can fix your current system or if you need to convert it to something better.

Absolultely nothing wrong with those URLs. No parameters at all, so perfectly fine. Length of URLs is not a factor in SEO.
