sorry, i forgot to say, that i think the newer fluctuation which has occured briefly, probably each day for the last week or so, but on which google hasnt settled, seems to produce much better, more informative results. the directory listings have gone from page 1 as have the museums listings. it would make sense to me if google settled on this set of results in the near future

Welcome to the fun, dotcommon - glad to have you aboard!
I keep telling myself that there are a lot of very smart people at Google and they would be nuts to give up their premier position for what seems to be a flaky new algorithm - which means that they will fix things properly in the very near future - at least I hope so...

I have noticed today that on many of the terms I watch, things actually seem to be looking a little better, by that I mean more relevant and not a lot of directory listings.

I dont even bother checking out my terms on google anymore. There are different datacenters and results often change.
The important thing is that since Florida my traffic is up 50%. I got 671 search term referrals last month. OK I added quite a bit of extra content.
One should never rely solely on seo for sales anyway. All you can do is make your site the top in its niche, have tons of content, and get tons of relevant links.
