Hello,
I have a seperate web page for a Google news feed directly related to my industry. Would my serp's improve for my keywords if this feed was on my home page? I read somewhere that depending on what page and where the code is placed it can have a significant positive impact on the sites ranking or hardly any. I would appreciate your advice with this matter.
Thanks

You have to remember G! doesn't rank or index 'Sites' it indexes and ranks 'Pages'So it doesn't matter where the RSS page is if it ranks high for certain keywords it will show in the SERPs NOT the home page!
As long as you have good navigation which easily allows any page viewd to get back to the home page then there is not a real reason to worry.
Remember each page you have on your site can offer you the opportunity to target different and varying keywords/phrases, it's not about making your homepage rank No1 for all your desired keywords/phrases.
