If I block a page with robot.txt from the SEs and then someone links to that page will the SEs then index it (I'm hoping not)?
Also, will the site being linked to get any link ranking, from that link, seeing the page is blocked?

They may index the URL, however, but provide no other info about it.

Please note: it's robots.txt, not robot.txt. If you get the filename wrong, it won't work. You've missed out the "s" on both questions you have posted here.
