Strange question, but a friend asked and I can't say as I've ever run across this one before.
Has anybody ever run across the code mod for Shipworks (the label/invoice/shipping software) that'll allow it to integrate with the CKGold shopping cart?
Shipworks makes a php file available that'll allow connections from ther software to OSCommerce and its derivitives, x-cart, as well as bult in support for Miva and a few others. However I've never run across a mod that would allow it to work with CKGold.
Anybody seen such an animal in their travels? I really don't feel like making the time to figure out the db structure and slapping together some php code to get integration to work with this particular cart. Surely someone has done it before!?!

Wow there's no reference to it on the SEs, not even anyone asking about it, interesting.
Shouldn't be too difficult to write up a simple mod using one of the other cart plugins as a guide?

In theory it shouldn't be that hard to do. Mainly just figuring out what db tables to pull data from and subsequently update. Of course this assumes the CKGold db has certain elements in it that ShipWorks uses and how CKGold authenticates admin user connections. I'm just not that familiar with the cart anymore since I haven't used on one of my sites for several versions. Which is kind of a shame really since I know for a fact that CKGold is one of the better carts out there if you have a high traffic, high load store.
I didn't find any mention on any of the search engines either. I looked before I asked.
Which is a bit odd since IMHO ShipWorks is so darned useful if you have a site that shps out product orders. I bet the CKGold developers could mash sometihng up lickity split snce they know the cart inside and out. I might even tell my friend to ask them about coding an addon, since it would be an improvement for their cart users. That would keep me from having to do it for free.

Well, it looks like I'll be whipping this up on my own. Since I just searched for something on this again in the various engines and this thread comes up as #1.
btw Jill if you want to see the sites that are picking up and republishing your forum threads do a search for "shipworks ckgold".
Depending upon how complete it ends up being I'll likely release it out into the wild as normal. I'm not sure though because the folks who need it don't use nearly all of the shipworks capabilities, so I'm not sure if I'll spend the extra time figuring out how to get it to do it all or just what they need.
