Of course, y'all realize that in order to make sure that something looks exactly the same on all major and most minor browsers, you just have to put it all in Flash

Unfortunatley even that is no guaratntee - swf's render differently in Macs than PC's e.g. some versions of OS have trouble using masked elements in Flash.

Nice try though :P

You can install tool bars and menus in Opera by simply clicking a link. You should be able install user style sheets the same way.

It seems that you can't install user style sheets that easily. Pity. You can specify a user style sheet in the preferences. I don't know how that works, but it is probably easier than editing ini files.

I feel we're drifting off to yet another topic, heh, but yes it is a shame the style sheets aren't easier to impliment.

They can be used without too much difficulty in IE too, but if you're in a position to need to change between the stylesheet and not, or between different stylesheets, its a right pain. The same with setting a 'My Style Sheet' in Opera, though not as much of a pain.

And you can imagine that in a home or a schools etting where you've got maybe one child who needs a special stylesheet to help give the contrast, being able to switch between them is pretty essential for when someone else wants to sue the computer.

Not sure if the new Firethingy (bird of fox depending on the version you may have) has a similar feature, that seems to have taken some other aspects of Opera's user style sheets and put them on steroids! (Have a look at the Web Developer and EditCSS extensions to see what I mean!)

LOL. Compliance to standards is a good thing. Perhaps someone can point me to the w3.org pages where these particular standards (taken from bwgroup's style sheet) are recommended?

Interesting debate

This may help answer your question, Eric Meyer explains the BMH's validity.
