There website is a relevant website with a PR 5, started in 2000. Alexa rating is 420k and they have almost 3k pages cached by google. Has no outbound links except for adsense.

My website -
PR 0, 152 pages cached by google

How much you pay for a text link on their home page?

You told us a bunch of stats, but not ones that seem very important.

I would want to know how much traffic they get, and also how many clickthrough's other, similar links get.

Is there a website we can go to see stats on visitor traffic to our page.... also what is the difference between an "impression" and a "click"?

Yes, it's all part of the analytics package you presumably have installed on your site. See our web analytics forum for more info, if necessary.

There is nowhere you can go to see the traffic stats for the other person's page unless they've published their own stats somewhere. In that case, they'll have to tell you where they've made those stats available.

Otherwise, the only way you can know their traffic stats is to ask them to provide you with reports from their analytics package.

An impression is when your ad is displayed. A click is when somebody clicks on your ad.

Actually, there are some competitive intelligence tools that can provide you with some of that info. I'm sure they're not as accurate as having the actual log files, but there's good info there.

Trellian's competitive intelligence tool does this, as does HitWise and a few others. I've used Trellian's (it's an add on to Keyword Discovery), and it provides good info.

Ah. I admit I don't care enough about my competitors' traffic to be willing to spend money to find out more about it. (You say cheapskate, I say frugal...) Good to know the available paid services seem to be reasonably accurate. I'll point people toward the paid services whenever they start talking about Alexa stats. smile.gif

Thanks for the info! I stand partially corrected. (Well, okay, I'm sitting at the moment because it's hard to reach the keyboard when I'm standing, but you get the idea.) mf_type.gif
