What's to explain? It's marketing via Email, nothing more - nothing less.

Well Randy, actually marketing can differ, it's not just delivery. It can be the strategy and such on, what methods to use depending the case etc, and finally the delivery.

You have a list of subscribers that you have get through eg an opt in page and you are marketing products and services to them...It can be effective if you have good relationship with your list

If you see a website that have a "name box, email box and subscribe button" that was the basic idea of email marketing.
That was for gaining subscribers. You can prospect and send email to them by doing manually or automatically.
With email marketing system you can prevent spam and you can start to make money from your list.
