Right now, in my yard the spring bulbs and forsythias are in full bloom with the camellias to follow shortly

Right now in my yard I can see a lot of brown grass now but I still have a small mountain of snow about three feet deep and 15 feet across.

It's been one of the worst winters I can remember.

wintryMix - snow - bitter cold
wintryMix - snow - bitter cold
wintryMix - snow - bitter cold
warmup one day with rain and then right back to
wintryMix - snow - bitter cold
wintryMix - snow - bitter cold

on and on for months with no relief!

*for you tropical folks... wintryMix is rain, freezing rain, sleet, snow

Ugh! I can ship snow to anyone who wants it as well. cold.gif We've had snow on the ground since the middle of December. Last weekend we were finally getting to see some ground around the edges of the yards, but then we got hit with snow again. And this morning I woke up to another 6 inches, snow.gif so everything is covered again. girl_cray2.gif You better believe we have cabin fever here in the boonies of Minnesota!

And all that snow you have will soon melt and then we'll be flooding down here in Iowa. It's one drawback to living along the Mississippi River.

Isn't that the truth. I'm sure we'll have flooding up here before it reaches Iowa, too.

It's to the point where I'm no longer worried about rankings, backlinks, PageRank or whether Oprah is about to buy Ask.com. Instead I constantly go to the local news site to see what the 7 day forecast is. We might reach the 40's this weekend. I'm ready to bust out the shorts and the sun tan lotion.

It's raining here today! Woo-hoo! That's twice in one week! groupwave.gif

For those who are wondering why rain would be such a big deal, take a look at the latest drought status and keep in mind I live in North Carolina.

Doesn't Firefox have an add on that you can check your drought status. My DroughtRank is a lot better than my PageRank.

Still over 3 feet of snow, and this morning the temperature was -9 F. We can expect to see the first flowers in May.

We have had no snow at all this year. Just freezing sleet/rain, hail and recently a gailforce wind spanning a few days.

But I have cabin fever as my daughter is also at home ill with tonsilitis. If I watch Snow White one more time I'm gonna turn into Dopey.

Deb, sounds as though you're already well on your way to becoming Grumpy! Could be you're just Sleepy, but maybe you need to call Doc. Don't be Bashful! At least you're not Sneezy. And soon, your daughter will feel better and you'll be Happy. smile.gif

Sorry, couldn't resist... giggle.gif

We hit the 80's today and this will continue through the weekend.

We're out working in the yard and BBQing suntan.gif with the AC to cool us down when we need it...and you guys are talking about snow.

It's hard to imagine how different climates can be...and in the same country.

Many people consider Texas almost as a country unto itself, it's so big there can be snow in northern Texas and weather like this in southern Texas a few days later.

The advantage for those of you up higher on the map, you never have to experience the deadly heat that we will be trapped inside by for months...wishing we had a cool basement to hide out in (no basements here, they would flood...though we have enough tornadoes we could use a basement from time to time).

That was funny Torka (made even worse by me going through your dialogue counting with my fingers) embarrassed.gif

I am so glad that tomorrow is a normal day.

The temps have been in the 40's for a week now. A foot of snow has already melted and you can see grass in spots. Now all the vehicles look the same color, a dirty grey.
