I'm wanting to learn CSS. I'm a hacker in the true sense of the word, I can work code out if I look at it long enough and make the changes I want when needed, but that takes too long as I don't do it regularly and forget the commands and syntax etc.
For me, the best way to learn is by example and doing it, not by reading books for hours on end.
So, can anyone recommend any resources. Sites, books, software and so on, that they have found useful.
I found a product by Webassist, it's a kind of wysiwyg css editor that looks pretty good, but it is expensive.
Thanks,
Matt.

For tools where you can experiment, W3Schools is one of the best out there, and is free. Additionally the Web Design Group has a CSS Properties reference doc you can either view online or save to your local computer that'll be helpful in remembering syntax. And if you want something to practice on, there's always CSS Zen Garden that people have been using and adding to for years. Lastly A List Apart has all kinds of articles and example code regarding CSS that have been archived over the years.

My fave CSS site is www.cssplay.co.uk - I just think that the stuff this guy does with CSS is great and he makes the code very accessible so you can quickly figure out how he's doing it. He also walks you through much of it.
I have posted about this site before but don't want anyone thinking I have any ulterior motives for doing so - I just think its a really good site! Hope that's ok?

Lynda.com has online training videos. Some of the CSS trainings have free sample chapters so that you can see if you like it before buying a subscription (which is only $25/month or $250/year).
Good luck,
