Hello to my SEO friends. :aloha:

I have come across something really weird and I was wondering if anyone here could help me out.
I have 2 sites that have been climbing up Google and Yahoo under the phrases "rap beats" and "hip hop beats" for the past year.
I have learned a lot from HighRankings.com and have got both of my sites to the first page in both the phrases... I check the rankings out almost everyday and a couple days ago everything went wacko.
My pages aren't listed in either phrase and all the normal competitor's sites aren't either. Its pretty screwed up!!!?? There are sites I've never seen before listed throughout the first couple pages... I've been checking my stats though over the last few days and haven't really been getting less traffic.
Then I thought, maybe the computer I was using had the SE's preferences set funny. But I've checked a couple computers and they are still messed up.
Does Google mess up like this sometime and can I hope they will be back to normal soon?? Yahoo just follows Google's lead, right??
MSN still has the same old rankings...hmmm...
I don't know what to do and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot,
Josh

Hello,
Google is in the process of a Major Update, If you loose ranking after 24th Jan then it could be because of the update, check this thread,

I would wait a week before getting worried. Google updates periodically and like powerofeyes said, a major update is going on. Your ranking will probably semi-stabilize within a week or so but who knows with this update...
