Hi Guys, I own about 10 websites in the same subject but different keywords in the same subject. They all have good positionnings on Google. Some have links to others but no reciprocal. I am really as to linking all of them together or not. Is it better? How is it perceived by the search engine?

If it makes sense to link them then do so i.e. if they will complement each other and your visitors will find them useful. I believe search engines don't want you making two (or more) websites that are rather the same and then try to rank for both -- so as long as they each bring something unique to the table you'll be alright.

So it should not affect my ranking on any of them?

There's no way to know other than trying it.

Do any of them currently pull traffic for the same keyword phrases because you've got more than one listing in a SERP?

If so, you can probably expect those extra listings to go bye-bye if you start interlinking your sites.

The engines will usually catch on eventually even if you don't interlink them, but it's definitely easier for them to tell when you slap a flashing neon sign up in the front door to give them a heads up.

Note I'm not saying it would necessarily be a bad thing to do. If it were me I'd be trying to merge all of the 10 sites into a single location so that it could make use of everything the 10 sites have built up.

Sounds like there's not much to be gained, but quite a lot to be risked chasing it.

It's potentially deadly if not done properly. There was a similar SE spam technique back 10 years ago that I used successfully. It used to work very well, but the current algos and the human reviewers will correlate it and could possibly remove you from the SE's index completely! I would NOT do it. Rather do what Randy said to do. Much safer.

Another factoe is do they share or have they shared the same IP or live/d very close by. This would flag up possible manipulation straight away.
