Will google consider a link a "back link" if the URL is www.site.com/page.html instead of just "page.html"?
will this help with anchor text pointing to the specific pages more than without the www.?

you obviously misunderstood somewhere
Yes = it is a backlink. a fully qualified URL is exactly the same as a relative URL.
No = it makes absolutely no difference to the anchor text
