Hey All !

Just a bummed out Indians fan here. censored.gif (Know there are alot of Sox fans here so I dont wanna hear anything - lol)

But I have been away for awhile building my site up to be a real monster with tons of content and cool tools and seemed to lose track on some simple issues and this is one of them. Now I know there is nothing more annoying then answering the same question 10 times so just a little point in the right direction may help! I have scoured the forum and seem to have gotten some good questions but am still a little fuzzy on some things.

The "placing advertising links on your site" issue: I am a little confused on which "program/site" may be the best or "most liked" ... I am looking at the obvious sites MSN, yahoo, google and just basically trying to get an idea as to which one seems to be the most popular and people are the most happy with. Seems to obviously be google still...... although I see yahoo all over as well.

..... I kinda take the approach as trying not to make things to complicated and follow the leaders for hints and tips, if you will, and this is why I am always looking at the major sites and seeing what programs they are using to place ad links on their site to generate ad evenue. Seems I often get confused as I know what works for one person may not work for another ... but a general idea always helps as I believe these big sites would not be using them if they were not making money.

So is there one program (Adsense, Yahoo, etc.) that seems to be a good bet or is there any research on which program pulls better.... another thing I am somewhat "worried" about is web surfurs being weary and knowing what those "ads by google" links are and wont click on them.

So basically always wondered if there was any research done as to which program pulled better clickthrus.

Thanks all .... any advice is GREATLY appreciated!! notworthy.gif

Go Browns!

You should decide if you want to put advertising on your site. I personally think, that most site shouldn't, as it looks unprofessional. It seems to confuse the visitors ( or customers) and do you really want a visitor to your site going to your competitors?
