Is Google Checkout comparable with Paypal yet?
I am fairly heavily dependent on Paypal and send large sum CAD$ online invoices to various countries plus use various Paypal buttons for small online sales.
Anybody had similar experiences with G Checkout?
Is the G product more easily received by less technically oriented clients?

Our Google Checkout rate has remained relatively constant since rollout -- about 20% of the customers use it. Are they less savvy? Yes, maybe. I actually wondered more if some were scared off by PayPal's earlier reputation and the ever-present phishing. I haven't seen phishing for Checkout yet.
The other advantage (I think) is minor, but real. On a competitive PPC buy, having the one ad that features the little Google checkout badge certainly must draw the user's eye to that particular ad. I've seen no heat maps or eye tracking studies -- this is just a guess -- but it seems reasonable.
