So - are you asking us how to create a list of people you can spam? If so - you are definately at the wrong forum.

You mean in the way you have just made it public in this thread for every spambot & scraper to get and send you more spam??

no no....my intention is not like that at all. actually, from what i've felt, i think its a good idea. they show their sites and we show our sites. and if their site and ours are related and have good pr(satisfied with each other's site's status), then exchanging link is a good idea. i guess i am wrong once again.... so, please correct me... and is it a good idea to keep a page for link exchange on a good site(not a spam site). or is it better to give it the name "related sites" or is it better not to include those at all?? please advise... thanks....

As chrishirst said, you posted it in this forum. You will now receive even more spam from bots scraping the internet for email addresses to add. Most likely you have your email address somewhere on your site, and that's where the original emails came from.

As everyone has mentioned. Not good to post your email address in plain sight. You may want to edit it to remove it or ask a moderator nicely to do so.
I think your question is how did these people know your address in the first place in order to contact you asking for link exchange, right? Is it possible that they got it from a whois check of your domain name?
I always get spam at the address I give to whois registry, so I never use my primary address.
