PM me your blog and i'll take a look - just one thing 50 visitors per day is not a huge amount for a blog and ad sense does not convert highly.
I'm no expert but I would think that 3% click thru for ad sense would be a very acceptable level of ad sense click thru for a web site. This would mean that only 1 or 2 of your visitors would be clicking through to adverts.

I would have thought the same as adybee.
50 visits is not huge. Even if they all clicked & you earned 20c a clic that would only be $10. <$1 seems more likely. Maybe you should consider something other then adsense.
Affiliate marketing? If you write about a product in your blog it may be more likely to get clicks (and ones that might even convert). If those 50 UVs are loyal, targeted and trusting you might make a decent amount of conversions. Unsurprisingly the e marketing field has a lot of affiliate programs for a lot of quality products.
If you push a product/service/course you actually think is worthwhile, Affiliates can be a lot more tasteful then adsense IMHO.
Personally, I don't like adsense. It seems to be building its business on delivering something cheap & easy to publishers. It's no hassle but it dirties up a site.
I kind of imagine a scenario like the one you described. A site gets some traffic with no obvious payoff. They put some discreet adsense ads on the right hand side of the screen. No Clicks. They add ads on the top, bottom, and left as well. They try to make their own internal links look like adsens ads. They get their friends to click.

I feel that driving traffic to your blog in several ways will increase revenue from Adsense. You can use free advertising and classified websites, create back links from other blogs and websites, etc. Also try bookmarking to atleast 30 social bookmark websites. These methods are proven to drive traffic.
