I bought 25 incoming links last month from related sites and do not want to extend those links. Will I get penalized by Google for this?. Most of these sites have PR 0-1.

Thx!

Hard to say until it happens. Please understand if your rankings go down it is not a penalty. Google may have seen some of these links and given your website a boost for them. By removing them that tells Google that your page has lost some links and naturally Google may grade the page lower.

I am afraid that Google bot will be suspicious because I suddenly lost 25 links from 25 domains within a month time.

Losing 25 links is pretty miniscule. If your site KW(s) is naturally sticky and already above the fold, I doubt you will see much of a drop, if any.

Uhmmm, Google isn't wild about people buying links for the purpose of trying to boost their rankings. nono.gif

So why on earth would they penalize you for stopping buying links? hmm.gif dntknw.gif

You're simply doing exactly what they want you to do...

I don't think there is much to worry about. After all those links are inbound and placed on other websites and you don't have any control over them. Google probably doesn't knows you have yourself placed those links there, unless you tell them. smile.gif As of now, i believe, Google cannot really penalize you for something you don't control.

Correct me if i am wrong smile.gif
