Thanks ozaark, great advice that I will try to act upon asap! Funny you should mention about the conversions as after the iunitial redesign went up the conversions actually dropped badly. I made a few ameds such as adding in the image based horizontal navigation below the slideshow and a few other bits I read about in a cool book (which I heard about on this site) called 'Don't make me think'. Fortunatly the conversions have reco0vered somewhat but could still be better. I like the idea of cutting the slideshow out after the home page. Don't know why I have not thought of this before but it makes good sense - thanks!
Thanks also Copywriter39 - I appreciate the input!

Look at the wierdness it displays our homepage banner as 'Pink'
sometimes though fixing the validation can fix display issues, so it's not all anal geekdom
There could be issues with the latest Safari, anyone aware of issues?
I had a quick look at your code, if you change it to...

Given the amount of trouble we have had recently with the dodgy element out there in the big www, we ain't gonna take any chances - this one inparticular sounds unpleasent!!
Even Paypal have called for people to ditch safari and Mozilla Chief Exec has pretty much called the browser Malware!

Quite suprised to see the info on Safari, does that include the Mac version?
Either way , I ony use it for testing so no biggie, IE7 is still my favourite browser

The structure is quite simple and yet nice to see
The color selection is good, nothing that ruins the sight
The promo is eye-catching, I do lay my first sight on the 50% offer
The content is well arranged

I have redesigned this site again, basically a re skin of the old site but to allow for a new product range (garden furniture being added - previously it was only conservatory furniture). The garden furniture is not actually available yet but want to start getting a feel for the interest in it and also to get the word out even in a limited way...
Have shifted certain content into a blog attached to the site - mainly the news and articles bits - as it is an easier way to maintain this part of the site. Quite a bit of background changes to make it easier to look after as well but the main thing I'm hoping for is some feedback regarding the design and anything I have missed from an SEO perspective.
Also worth mentioning that the tidbits of product info I have included are actually pinched from a seperate site of ours - an online store that we operate to sell the various different brands and products that we have to offer. I am hoping that this does not cause any performance issues in particular for the images that are pulled in from the other site. This does mean that there is crossover in some of the content for the product pages - is this likely to be an issue?
The site is at www.justdine.com/jdnew/default.aspx
Any feedback would be appreciated, good or bad, thanks

Thanks for the feedback smc. The site is 2 stage so we have always struggled with how much info to give away on the site itself - we're trying to entice people into requesting a brochure so that our direct mail programme has the names and addresses it needs to follow up the initial interest. The fear is that giving away too much info will mean people don't need to request a brochure, we don;t get the names and addresses and so we can not work the data for to get the sales.
But this is a balancing act really - do you think that I have the balance wrong, do I need to be giving more info to entice people in? I'm asking the same question at the moment with another site that we run which gives away evenm less info, and am planning a split test somewhere along the line to see what works best, but any thoughts at this point much appreciated!
