I absolutely agree, especially with the conversion point.

Getting or instructing someone to get high search engine rankings and highly targeted traffic is one thing; converting that targeted traffic to sales is another thing!

I always show my dear clients enough reports and graphs to show *for certain* that the increase in traffic, which they undoubtedly notice, is directly related to their top rankings for highly targeted keyword phrases. However, converting that traffic to sales??

They have to do that, I can't make anyone understand all the aspects of good salesmanship or good customer relations, which would afford them the conversion they would most benefit from. Try as they might, some people just stink at customer service and salemanship.

Some can sell and some can't. I get them traffic that is prime for buying or purchasing their products and services but the rest is up to them or whomever they can afford to hire to handle that end!

IMO, Rankings are only the beginning of success.
