In my google account it list external links to my site. Is this a complete list or can it not be trusted to be complete. I have many more. Should I delete the ones google has not listed.

And of course by doing so quite possibly delete ones that are of SE value in the process. What are shown may or may not be counting and the same of what don't show.
A better idea would be to go through your referrer logs and dump the ones that do not send visitors.

I'm sorry, why would you want to get rid of inbound links?

I think perkle was probably referring to dropping a reciprocal link to sites that aren't listed in Google's tool.
Which would be a horrible mistake since the information there is neither 100% complete, nor 100% accurate.

Thanks Randy
No I don't intend to eliminate any links. What I wanted to know was simply how complete and accurate is Googles tool concerning links to my site.
please forgive my stupidity but I really don't understand why Googles pagerank toolbar and their webmaster tools would be so deceptive and incomplete. What would they gain from either.
But its their game so I guess I can't complain.
One further note.
I am checking the listed links to see if there are any link farms or other bad sites. I suppose I will change my direction now and just check my out going links to make sure I personally have not linked to any bad sites myself over the last 5 years which would be the real problem. As I may have done in the early on process to get links.

They don't gain anything by putting the information out there, this much is for sure.
And your question is valid, no silly. You just have to understand that if Google --or any of the rest for that matter-- told us everything that makes XYZ.com rank so well for its terms per their algorithm they'd be giving away the keys to the kingdom. If they did that at least 1,000 people would have their algo reverse engineered by the end of next week.
So it's for them it's a good thing to be at least a bit vague.
