I'll be there all week along with my lovely wife and business partner, Irma. I'm speaking on Wednesday in a session entitled, "So You Want To Be A Search Marketer!"

Dang it, dang it, dang it! I'm pissed. I have been having these strange attacks recently and after losing 8 pounds in 2 days from vomiting, I visited the doctor to find out that I have gallstones and I'm going to have to have my gallbladder removed. Apparently, it is pretty common for people who lose a tremendous about of weight to have this problem. Sooooooo, they are going to schedule the surgery for either the second or third week in August. I'm bummed!!!! I'm hoping I still get to go. What's more, I'm supposed to be running in a 10k marathon the second week in August, and it looks like I am going to miss that too. I just needed to vent. Ugh.

Bummer, Micheal! I hope you're back up to snuff quickly and able to come out for SES. We'll just take it easy on the workouts. (Which is what I would have had to do anyway... )

And if not, I'll just come over there one weekend and re-enact all the presentations for you.

Unfortunately, I'm a no-go this year. Which is a shame, because it was going to become my summer vacation with my fiance.

I'll just have to gear up for PubCon instead!

well, I'm out for this year. The surgery is on Wednesday, but the Doc doesn't want me to travel too far. I'm bummed out...

Well, I'm back on the board, and I'm headed to San Jose this year! Woo-hoo! I hope to meet many of you there as well as sit in on both of Jill's sessions. I'll be there all week if someone wants to get together for a coffee or lunch or something.

(And yeah, I'll work out like the mean ole' doctor says, but not at the level it sounds like some of you are! )

We're planning a luncheon for the "women-folk" at SES.

Monday 8/20 from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at the Grill on the Alley.
Everyone pays for their own lunch but we have a blast!

San Jose is very pretty right now. It will be much prettier when the airline sends my luggage, which i understand is boarding a flight from DC to Oakland and be driven to me by midnight.

At least, that's what they said....

(And the Hilton has a billion young gymnasts running around for their national championships. One of the coaches told me there were also a lot of coaches here for seminars/conference type stuff. I told them to get these young athletes out of the way so the geeks could take over....)
