Hi Torka
In the previous thread you mentioned that you use MALs for one of your sites.
Have you found a way of passing information from your site to MALs so it appears in Google Analytics ? For example, in the GA e-commerce report all referer and keyword information has been lost in transition from my site to MALs.
I've implemented the code given in the GA 'using a third party shopping cart' help section and it doesn't work. Neither the GA help team or Mal can offer a solution. In MALs forums many people have the same problem.
If you know the answer I will dance naked around a fire and sacrifice oxen in your name. It's been driving me nuts for months.

Sorry to disappoint you, Jill!
Ig, honestly, I haven't tried. The site I use that for is extremely low volume — sort of a "side project" for my day job company to which sufficient resources for that kind of in-depth analysis have not been allocated by management — so I haven't really attempted anything remotely "robust" in terms of analytics.
And if the good folks at the forums and Mal himself can't seem to figure it out, I suspect I probably won't be the lone genius to come up with a solution... but I'll take a look and see if I can come up with anything. (Don't hold your breath, though...)

Thanks Torka
I suspect this is one of those 'works in theory, not in practice' situations.
Please don't spend any time on it.
Sorry to disappoint Jill too but, given my magnificent physique, the video would probably have been classified as comedy rather than XXX.
Ah well.

I'm not that familiar with Mal's anymore, it having been a couple of years since I worked with it at all. But a couple of options for you.
First, does Mal's allow you to send it Extra Variables, or sometimes called Custom User Variables, that they will then simply pass back to your site at the end of the transaction? If so you could use those to pass the information you need for GoAn, which could then be collected on your after-sale Thank You page.
If that's not a possibility the next best option would be to set a user cookie containing whatever information you need after the sale on the customers computer. It would stay there through the trip to Mal's checkout and you can simply retrieve it on your Thank You page and make it available to GoAn. In fact, GoAn may already be setting such a cookie if it works like the installed version of Urchin. So you may simply be able to cobble that together with the sale confirmation info to weld it all back together.

Does Mal's allow you to add code to your shopping cart pages? I don't know anymore. But if they do allow it I would think simply including the GoAn javascript call to those pages might solve the problem. That would be the easiest way to do it, if Mal's allow that type of user integration.
