Welcome John !

The Tips for Newbies would be a good place to start. As would the various threads you'll see pinned at the top of each section of the forum. You'll also want to review the Forum Rules, especially those regarding site reviews.

In a nutshell you'll first need to sort out a couple of things.

1. What your unique value proposition is. Or in English, what your software offers that other similar software kits do not offer. Every product or service should have a unique value proposition.
2. Who your prospective customer are, what they're like most importantly how to relate your value proposition to them in words they understand.

Once you know those two things it's a much easier concept to write your marketing message and get it in front of those most likely customers. Without either of them you're going to end up spinning your wheels at least a little bit.

Hello,

One thing you may want to concider is perhaps an affiliate program, maybe via clickbank. If you can recrute affiliates by offering them a commision they can help market your product for you. Also there are many forums that offer JV joint ventures, were you share in promoting your products. If you have a list, you may want to send out details of your software in a pre-launch.

A pre launch is always good. If you have a news letter that you send to your list let them know you have a new product coming out. If you do not have a list there are many places were you can find ways of list building. One way is to offer some realy good content in your product niche, have people opt in to a mailing list to get a monthly news letter that will benafit them.

These are just a few techniques many marketers use.

Cheers,

Paul
