New Google Analytics Interface by Google will be the best of all other web Analytics tools with is user friendly interface and many more new features for the web community.

They also gave an option to switch over to the old interface. So nothing to worry about. I raved half of my day today with this new Google Analytics Interface and shall continue with it. All the Gurus out there please post your experiences with this new Interface.

Qwerty mentioned the following interesting article in another thread:

Had only time for a quick look, but it looks a big improvement. The only thing I couldn't find was a monthly view for the trend reports.

It might just be me (and it might be answered elsewhere already), but is there still the ability to breakdown a day into hours to show the number of visitors for each hour during that day? Very useful for our site, and something that is available in V1 but not immediately (or not so immediately) obvious in V2.

I've seen this question asked, but not answered.

Anyone?

AAAhhhh sarcastic_blum.gif Just got back from a client meeting and low and behold they got migrated to the new interface last night and I sat there looking at the screen close to tears. I hate being caught unawares.... PMT also sucks.

Daniel, If I find it I will let you know! I am looking for it too....

Yeah, it seems that even if you apply a range of only a single day, you still see the data for a few days on the graph. I haven't found a way to show a single 24 hour period yet.

It doesn't seem to be there in the new interface.

For the time being, I'll have to resort to checking the v1 interface, but that's going to be gone in a month (I think I read somewhere).

I wonder if they'll add it to the new interface, or not?

Have you tried contacting Analytics support? They were very responsive the one time I had a question and sent them an e-mail.

The new interface takes some getting use to but I think on the whole it is a step forward.

I do find though that when looking at averages there needs to be some way of filtering out some of the traffic to make the figures more meaningful/useful. For example, if it would be very useful if you could filter out anyone who spent less than a certain time on the website.

Have to admit I prefer the old "overview" screen to the new one but it is much easier to find what you want in the new version. I too have been looking for the 24 hour breakdown.

I think the new interface looks great. I'm finding some views much easier to get actionable info from. That said why does google need to kill the old interface which I find to be good too, although it is hard to navigate sometimes? God knows they have the horsepower to run both with room to spare.

One thing seems clear; the competition just fell another furlong behind.

I like it! I just got mine in the new interface and it's nice and clean and faster than before. Good job, Google!

I like the new interface for Google Analytics but I am finding the information displayed a little suspect. When I go back to the old style to check I see the sort of figures I expect.

Is it just me or is the new interface a little bug ridden?

Some of the things that just don't seem to work properly for me are the date selection, I enter a two date range and it displays a week; the Site overlay - the overlay display does not match with the listed data; and it doesn't seem to pick up the previous days figures so information appears two days old.

At the moment it is much easier to view, but I'm not sure if the data is correct.

I did contact Analytics support about the loss of the 24 hour view, and while they replied very quickly they weren't that helpful, just thanking me for my feedback. When I pressed for more information, I was told that it was like that on purpose as their new view is more helpful! Well not to me it isn't, and evidently I'm not the only one.

I think they just didn't think it through properly.
