Hi,

I currently use the mydomainname/123456.html format for one of my sites pages.

Is there an advantage to changing this (for new pages) to mydomainname/keywordhere/123545.html

Where the keyword is a snippet from the page title tag or description or other descriptive piece of text.

I don't personally like long url's but I am not sure of the benefits of this approach. Its its helpful I'll do it.

Thanks

Clare

discountdomains,

Keyword-rich URLs are useful for people. It helps us understand what the page is about before we actually access it.

It's hard to say how much emphasis search engines place on keywords in URLs. I am certain it's very little or people will be stuffing it to death wink1.gif
