My business, in a way, has outgrown its shopping cart. As it stands right now, all my cart does is process orders and send out a confirmation to the customer and myself. I then have to send the order off to one of my suppliers or both for shipment. Basically, I'm running drop-ship programs, but it can get rather technical with all the product options, shipment locations, etc. So with my rankings getting ever higher notworthy.gif and PPC campaigns improving, my sales have increased to the point that I barely have enough hours in the day to get all my work done. The "out-of-the-box" shopping carts that I have researched do not do all I need them to do. Does anyone have any experience with companies that build carts to suit specific needs.

Thank you for any input!

I'm sure there are several coders who would love your business, but if your current cart works well except for not breaking out the orders by supplier you may first want to see if you can find someone to add a multiple supplier module for you. Maybe the folks who make the cart would be willing to take it on for a fee. Or if the cart has a development community that already creates third-party add ons one of them might be able to do it.

The reason I mention it is that you really don't want to get something that's going to require you to change your URL structure. It really is a bad thing to do and will have a large detrimental effect on your site for a time.
