Andy Beal has a poll up asking who the "Godmother of Search" is.

Cast your votes here.

I voted for you Jill, but I see Jennifer L is right behind you. I have been a big fan of the informative SearchEngineGuide she has been running for as a long time now.

I don't see where she's added "vote for Jill" anywhere in this thread. If you like someone else, vote for them.

I think it's funny how people immediately assume the worst... usually because they assume everyone else would have the same motivations they themselves would have.

Jill has a long history of supporting women in SEO and pointing out their lack of recognition, so it's not a huge surprise she'd point you to an article that finally recognizes there are some influential woman in SEO.

Maybe some people need to check their own motivations at the door and vote for whomever you like. Jill just wants you to check it out and help recognize the contributions of some strong women to the industry.

Including our very own "horsecove" aka Christine Churchill who is also on the list! And of course, our very good friend, Kim Krause Berg from our "sister" forum, Cre8asite. Not to mention the amazingly insightful and creative, Jennifer Laycock.

All of those women, and the rest on the list as well deserve your votes too!
