I just have to comment...

QUOTE
They dont suck necessarily to SE's! But they suck because they put bull crap ads on there home page and try to push crap on people.

1. Ads don't mean the page has to suck - but many pages suck because of the ads.

2. Looking elsewhere for leads involves more then just online.

3. Ignore Alexa rankings. It's not an accurate representation of traffic and popularity because it's not equally distributed. It's weighted heavily to those interested in it's results - such as webmasters and SEO's so the data is skewed.

4. Keyword stuffing (hint hint - see any keyword stuffing anywhere you can think of? ) might make some people think it sucks. ORGINAL content. Repeating the same phrases over and over again isn't orginal content. It's not a natural way to speaking or writing. It sounds weird to real visitors and certainly doesn't promote sales.

6. Spell check is your friend. Good grammar on websites is also your friend. (hint hint)

Incidentally, it isn't a "junk site" penalty, it's a page specific/phrase specific penalty.

There are sites still ranking for searches in the top ten, some #1 even, that have some of the pages penalized 900+ - and some happen to be excellent sites. Some sites (pages) I've seen have just gone overboard on generally normal SEO things, some have been "link spamming" and "keyword stuffing" for years that have the homepage at 900+ (long overdue) and then there are junk pages from Amazon - and Ebay (who have been spamming the hell out of Google for ages with "black hat" subdomain tactics).

So it isn't necessarily lousy sites - it's what's triggering being filtered as lousy pages.

Well its about time someone is understanding that its not the SITE appl.gif its the phrase.

Its either incoming link anchor text which if there one way links I dont think its possible or you could knock off anyone. Maybe reciprocal link anchor text could be possible.

But what im leaning to is Keyword density, internal site keyword links, header tags, title tags, alts

Because its just phrases people not the whole site. The certain page will show up fine for this keyword but not this one. But yet it comes and gos and not because of different data centers because I check everyone. Come a week go a day and do nothing for it to leave nor come back.

Could it also possibly be this? Most webmasters will usually place all main pages in links at bottom of page like this

[widet this] [widget that] [widget this] [widget that] [widget this]
[widget] [widget this] [widget that] [widget] [widget page]
[widget] [widget] [widget] [widget] [widget]

Could this possibly play a role in specific phrase penalty?
And usually they do that that way that specific page it sure to stay indexed a pr. But it doesn't really matter if thats there does it?

Think about this:

>>just gone overboard on generally normal SEO things

What's normal, expected and acceptable isn't the same thing as 9K links in light grey on a white background you have to scroll two screens down to see.

Funny how you are so angry @ TW for ads, when yor own blog has posts that are nothing more than ads for rubbish software masquerading as posts. Well, goo

omg.gif. You are actually promoting, and I assume using, software that, the maker claims:
QUOTE
It is a little known fact that the fastest way to become recognized as an expert in your field is to contribute helpful and valuable posts on a regular basis in the forums that your target market hangs out in.
hysterical.gif

Forum Fortunes! It is like selling snake oil to the snake oil salesmen! BRILLIANT! (kv.iwarp.com/frum/ in case anyone really wants to read about it).

So that is why you are here: to brand as an SEO expert. hysterical.gifhysterical.gifhysterical.gifhysterical.gif

No wonder you only ever add posts to this thread, because the software seems to only "...keep a track of both their posts and all the responses coming back in". I guess that is why so many of us have received PMs from you as well, as I am sure stage two is to establish individual contact with people on the forum.

I think you may have missed a crucial part of the advice though:
QUOTE
"contribute helpful and valuable posts

I think you missed that boat to a large degree wink.gif

And now, after that public outting and bashing, I am going to give you some real, practical advice: go to SEOChat. In all honesty, you will be better received, and stand a much better chance of attracting the business and eyeballs, as well as becoming the expert, that the software seems to promise (Expert in a box, I LOVE IT!).

Wheras @ highrankings, after this post of mine you will most likely always be viewed with a mixture of scorn and mocking, whereas @ SEOChat, with its wider range of newbies, you stand a chance of at least being someone.

Best of luck, and forgive the fact I am choosing to (mod preview: scrath that) ban you smile.gif

Sorry, but 5 PMs later, enough is enough. Controversy may be a good way to be traffic to a blog, but it is also a good way to get banned smile.gif
