About Domain Age & Ranking
Posted 02 December 2006 - 05:07 AM
after doing SEO for few sites, what I found is that I am getting immediate results for old websites. ie if the domain age is more then I am getting good results fastly. what do you say about this? does the ranking has got more importance with domain age?
another thing is that once we get optimized reslts in first page of Google, how long it will stay there? is there anything to do to keep that consistency in results. shud I go on doing link building? if I do link building for the sites, how long shud I do that to keep that results consistent?
Please reply to this queries..

When your handling SEO for established authority web sites, if you know what your doing.. things can turn into gold over night literally, all depending on the power of the site at your disposal!

I would not bother with the link building component once your already there, but it really would depend on the industry as with new players popping up every-time, you would need to 'watch your back' in the money industries.
Just don't do anything stupid & generally what most SEO's would aim for is; your there for the life of your business or Google's, that's why SEO is such a powerful advertising medium if you get to where you want to be.

There are no guarantees, but if you have a really great site that people like and continue to refer to and link to, it's a lot easier to stay in the top 5 than if you used a "formula" or a "trick" to get to the top.
New content, new links all help to keep your site ranking highly.
