I have a huge existing front page website that is ranked very well and I want to add a real shopping cart to it. I do not know enough about coding to add code by hand. I also want to keep the same page names as they are highly ranked.
I want a basic program as a easy to use add on for FP or a off site service that I load the products to and add a buy now type button to the existing product pages of the FP site.
I only need to collect the credit card info and down load it daily as it will be processed by hand in the dirt world store so I do not need gateways for processing etc.
Is there any easy way to do this out there for a person who can not add code beyond cutting and pasting existing code into a page?
Please someone help me, I have been trying to solve this for months and keep getting the run around.
If you can help, please write to,
papabear at ptd.net (replace "at" with @ and remove spaces)

Thanks!!!!
Frank

Hi Frank. Just to let you know, I've moved your thread from the Pub to Technology and Coding.

Frank, what you want is a little complex because not only do you need to use a secure server to collect the data, but all that data has to be *stored* somewhere until you download it. We are talking some kind of database.

If you don't mind spending a little, you might find that something like http://vcart.com works for you. With vcart, you put code and a buy button on your pages, and the orders are processed and held at vcart.com. (It also has the capability to process orders in real time, calculate shipping against UPS, FedEx, etc., and a raft of other features.) I've had several clients who have continued to use them for years. At the very least, you could try it for the free 30-day trial period; couldn't hurt.
