Seo Help. .asp Pages & Meta Format
Posted 07 November 2006 - 02:29 AM
My whole site has been created in ASP pages. Will this be an issue with my search rank position later? Someone said that it might be but I cant find anything on it.
Also my Meta Tags look something like I have listed below. Is this ok? My concearns were text and word spacing, capital letters and quantity of words used.
<meta name="keywords" content="waferboard, MDF, medium density fiberboard, moisture Content, OSB, oriented strand board, particleboard, plywood, quarter sawn, timber sawn, radial sawn, hardwood timber, timber laminate">

No. I've not seen any problem with dynamic page extensions.
> Also my Meta Tags
That looks like a bit of a problem to me, although I'm being a stickler for specificity. For instance, is every page about particleboard? It would be better if the metas on each page were about whatever that page is about.
(Edited for typo.)

My concearn is the format that I have created the meta tags in. Some of the words start with a capital letter and some dont. Also I am not sure if I should be presenting the meta tags like this...
dog, cat, cow, tree, farm
or like this

We can talk about how search engines deal with meta keywords today, or whether they equate capitalized words with uncapitalized right now, but personally I'd hate to be revisiting this on an ongoing basis. I'd just do it logically; that is, if the term is normally capitalized, I might do so, but something like this seems illogical: moisture Content
