Happy holidays!
Does anybody know any good websites or information on writing good, ol' fashioned CYA disclaimers and such?
In J-school they never taught us the finer point of writing annoying but oh-so-necessary legalese to protect ourselves or companies from law-suits (they probably figured we'd all be working for deep-pocketed companies that could just hire somebody to write it!) Any suggestions or websites would be very greatly appreciated!
thanks!

I found this article, which might be helpful. The author is in Australia, so you might want to check the examples he gives against current US legal requirements, but it may give you a good starting point.
This article dates from 2002 and was written for barristers in the UK, but also contains some potentially useful information.
There's a website, http://www.emaildisclaimers.com/ , that specifically covers e-mail disclaimers.
Hope these can get you started in the right direction...

Well, d'oh! I should have posted this one along with the original batch.
It's the Federal Trade Commission's explanation of their new disclaimer and disclosure rules for commerce sites. Probably a useful read...
