Last time I checked, SES London 07 was scheduled for Whit Week in May (school half term, as usual) at the Business Design Centre in Islington. I think Incisive were even selling stand space for that week at this year's show.

Looking now, I see the event has been shifted to Feb 13-15, 2007. Yet again school half term week! However, that's the peak skiing week for British parents with school-age kids. I'll certainly be off skiing (it's all booked and paid for biggrin.gif) so won't be at SES London next year. sad.gif

The event has also shifted from the Business Design Centre to ExCel. However, this page is still recommending booking the Hilton Islington, which is miles away from ExCel!

Spending Valentines Day away from home (where will my florist deliver my 3,000 blood red roses I'm due? yeahrite.gif ).... nope!

Do you think that since Danny left, they're losing all sense of romance? shutup.gif

From what you say of previous scheduling, they're also not too school holiday friendly either. Still, have a good ski trip bye1.gif

Custom house hotel is fine, I saty there whenever I go to London. Smack on the train station (in more ways that one), nice area, a hilton, quality, and a few others there. IN fact I am up there Dec 8-11

I'm over at SES London again this year! I'm pretty sad about the fact that it's not going to be held in central London... then again it will be good to see another side of London :-) I've never been to any SES 'on the side' parties though before, but definitely plan to attend this year :-) Anyone has any similar plans?

it will be different this year as the pubs around Exel are not the sort of pubs you would want to be drinking in. You have the hilton, the Ibis, custom house (holiday inn) and thats about it These are smack next to the exel centre though. Central london is a 1 change tube rid away It is dead easy to get in or out of.

ISLINGTON

I cant imagine anyone wanting to go to ISLINGTON

You might as well have it in Central Park NY at night or maybe in the Broncs or even Iraq.

Well, all I can say is dont forget the mace and maybe it would be a good idea if you all had motorbike crash helmets on when you leave the building.

I only found out about SES London today via mailing from Wordtracker guys. I've never been to any of these conferences and swore I'd go to the next one they'd have in London. It would be great effort to get over there from Cork, Ireland -- not so much travelling over but organising time from work and family. Will it be worth it? Sounds like lots of people are not going.

There's also a conference coming up in Dublin, I was thinking of going just to meet some others in the business and see how things are going in the industry in Ireland. Anyone have any experience with the organisers of that event. Time is precious, gotta prioritise.
