Any Marketing Value In Del.icio.us Or Digg?

Do these have some type of marketing value?
Does anybody have any experience with this? Would you recommend pursuing it or not?

Actually, let me be clear about this: putting those icons on your page won't help you one bit for search. But they make it easy for someone to suggest your site as a good resource to those sites, which in turn can send traffic your way.
Imagine if you had a button on your site that said "tell Google this is a good site" and visitors could click on it. This is like that, but unlike the toolbar function, it actually works, but only with social networking sites, not search engines.
If you are saying something people are likely to comment on or tag as useful, then it's worth doing. But putting them on the homepage of your commercial site is unlikely to accomplish anything.
Hopefully that's clearer.

So here's a question off that. Google pays attention to Blogger at some level. Any idea whether hosting Blogger instead of one of the other better packages still gives you that boost?
I just get the feeling that if I flip a switch from xxxxx.blogspot to mydomain that they're not as interested. And for what it's worth, my graphics person did an awesome template that mirrors our look and feel (except for that cotton pickin' search bar at top) to a T. To most visitors, clicking on one of our blogs is a transparent process. They have no idea they've left our servers and gone to blogspot.com or when they come back. I watch them do it in my software all day long.

I'm using typepad with a domain alais over to a "www" domain name. Typepad's nice because it integrates with Technorati, I believe that blogger does as well, not sure about Wordpress.
I also notice that Google is usually the first "blog search" to pick up my posts, Ask coming in a close second.

It's just assigning keywords to the information. You "tag" the information with keywords. For example a blog post about this thread would tag it with words like
- del.icio.us, Digg, Technorati, Blogger, social media, tags, and the like so others looking for this information can find it easier.

Am I getting confused here? Are these tags different from the usual metas - title, desc, keywords etc;-
Sorry for the dunce like query!!
