Best Way To Building A New Site

If any of you are reading this again, can you just confirm to me the obvious - that it is a good tip to name your folders (directories) in a useful keyword manner.
Thanks again for all your input.

It's neither good nor bad. I don't name mine with keywords, unless it is the natural way to name them.

So to anyone, I ask your opinion. Any negative consequences of the above mentioned quicker solution than in the old days when you had to manually change any single page.

And Google gets all parts of all pages that I have done in php with the includes (I usually do several includes, upper navigation, footer with text links, and header). And as I get the statistics in, and find people searching for things, I add them to the navigation and I wouldn't be able to do that without the time-saving nature of php includes. Paying attention to what your audience wants after the site is finished is, in my opinion, a major part of SEO - and that includes a really good statistics program (I have one that gives me details on the last 800 visitors including the site they came from and the pages they went to and if they came from a search engine, what keywords they typed in). Without that additional input, my sites would not be as successful as they are. And yet one rarely hears SEO experts talk about the need to check up on what people are coming to the site for and whether they are going to the right pages when they search for specific things - they sometimes end up on the wrong page for what I know they are searching for so I can change the right page or I can put up a notice about where the right information is on the page they are landing on or both.

The engines won't even know those are there unless you make an error somewhere and one of them doesn't load. It all happens before they see the page.

- so in other words you would recommend to start the architecture and construction phase with a slightly more favoured angle to the engines - then once the skelton has been built - start to focus on the readers/customers...
I guess the answer lies in that you must always always think about the readers/customers (of course) but my point was that to start with maybe you ought to be as SE friendsly as possible to get on the SE radar screen.
....bascially start off being a better buddy to the SE then focus on your audience.

I can't wait to see it cached by Google by getting a few quality backlinks for the start.
All the best
