Hello Everyone,
This keyword stuff has me completely confused, let me try to explain.

I have 3 keywords, lets say big blue widgets

This rankis in the top 10 so I'm ok with it.

But I really wanted blue widgets to be in the top 10 but it is no where to be found in the top 1000.

BBuuuuutttt

blue widget (without the 's', which is not on my search page, per se) is ranked like 200. Any explainations?

Hard to give some kind of explanation without knowing the exact keyword phrase and site in question. :aloha:

Can you provide more details?

Your best bet is to please post a request for a site review in that section of the forum.

Hello Dove,
You rank for singular keyword instead of the plural keyword phrase is due to the new stemming technology by google, Please see these threads and the google page to understand what is happening,

http://www.google.com/help/basics.html - scroll down and see,

webmaster world thread - Singular and plural keywords, Google Stemming

Highrankings.com thread - http://www.highranki...?showtopic=2178

Hope that helps,

VIJAY,

Obviously the competition on the word BIG is not as large as for blue :)
