Does anyone know when we should expect to see a full schedule for the NY
Search Engine Strategies conference? I have every intention of being there, but I am not sure how many days I will attend. I know I want to attend at least two days. But I'm not sure if I want to attend that "pre-day" and the third day.

When does Danny (or whoever) normally post the actual agenda?

Corey, there's a place to sign up on the SES site and they will notify you by email when the agenda is posted.

I believe Danny is working on it now, which means he should have something up within the next few weeks or so (guessing).

A somewhat related question to those who have attended multiple SES Expos. Have you seen any difference? If you were to pick one per year which one would you go to?

Thanks!

Good question. I attended Boston last year, but it seems like the California one is the big one due to the proximity to Google. At least that is the way it seems from the hype.

I am hoping the NY one will be a big one considering that New York is New York. If you have ever been there or lived there, you know what I mean.

Each one tries to be better than the next, so you really couldn't say which particular venue would be best.

Danny does a great job of always trying to keep it fresh and new and the like. There is some repeat sessions (like mine), but there are always multiple tracks going on at the same time in case you've already seen one of the sessions.

Jill,

Do you know the percentage of new attendees versus repeat?

Thanks.

I think it varies a good bit from conference to conference rustybrick, likely depending somewhat upon what is going on in the industry at any given moment. I'm sure that Danny and Jupiter track that kind of thing, but I've never seen it published.

At the Chicago conference they asked how many had attended previous events and how many were there for the first time in several sessions I attended. My general impression from the raised hands is that it was somewhere around 50/50 at the latest one. Maybe even favoring first timers a bit more. But those numbers may not be correct since I wasn't actively counting hands.

Nope, I'm not privy to that info as I'm just a speaker there!

Hey Bill-

Jill is out for a couple of days but she almost always does "Dealing with Directories" and "Writing for the Search Engines".

but "Dealing with Directories" isn't on the Agenda for NYC, even though it was still getting good ratings, the need was slipping...

I'm sure she'll do writing again though at least.

Yes, we're not doing the directory one this time. I'm definitely doing the Writing for the Search Engines session, and most likely something else to, but I don't know exactly what yet!

Please post when you know what your session title is and what day it's on. Everything on the agenda seems to say "Speakers to be announced" :drunk:
