I see more and more web hosting and domain name registrar companies bundling some SEO services in their offerings to compete in what has become a very low marging industry.
For example:
NetworkSolutions are offering SE submissions, etc.
GoDaddy offers
- Site Analysis
- Site Optimization
- Search Phrase Optimization, etc.

BulkRegister also offer something similar:
http://www2.bulkregi...sitewatch.shtml - targets B2B and claims:
- Popular keywords
- Top search engine rankings
- Easy site submission
Whether they deliver quality service or not, the point is that the majority of newcomers to the web might be introduced to SEO by their web hosting and domain registering company.

Hi,
How about by following the Google guidelines!
Seriously though, there are so many junk submit yourself to 10 million directories for $19.99 that a follow the high road approach must be a winner.
I run a UK Domain name and web hosting service, offering basic submission services, that follow the G guidelines. Its early days for me with this and my site needs a lot of work to appeal properly. But its got to be the way to go.
