Dear all;

I've been tasked with recommending a shopping cart solution; I'm making this post here because I'm a bit rusty (have been away from web commerce for almost a year!).

Some points to consider:

1) The shopping cart solution must be SEO and analysis friendly in terms of reporting abandon rates and other stats.

2) The business has several dozen websites selling different product lines

3) Time is a more critical factor for this business than cost is.

The current solution being used is Americart; one with which the client is not satisfied.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,
Lucifer

Welcome Lucifer ! hi.gif

Most shopping cart software these days is reasonably SEO friendly out of the box. Or can be made that way pretty easily. Not all of them have all of the reporting capabilities you ask about, so this may be one of the largest deciding factors. Though many do have 3rd party addons that can do this type of reporting.

IMO your main concern is going to be finding one where the backend administration does what the client needs to do, and is easy/intuitive for them to use. This means you're probably going to end up selecting a few that meet SEO and stats reporting requirements, then having whoever does the database entry work at the client's take a look at the administration side of thing to get their opinion of which will work the best for them.
