Meh-- I just applied and was in. I have very little content on my site and almost no traffic. I'm going to improve both, and the design, but I figured I'd apply to Adsense now so I had it to play with in the interim.
I don't think they reject people so much anymore. They might change that. I think they're still experimenting.

Yea as long as you have content that fits the requirements you're almost certianly in. Also if you're rejected they might accept you a later on without you having to do anything.

site must be complete.
if your site has 3 topics/sections,and only 1 is ready, then site is not complete.
However,if you give each topic it's own sub-domain [ NOT sub-directory] then each is treated separately.
sub-domain example: SubDomain1.name-of-your-site.com

if you are building a site with 100 topics, and only 1 is ready, and you don't want to use sub-domains ... but you do want to be approved for AdSense ... make 1 subdomain ... even if it is only 1 page ...
make sure it's complete, and has value to the surfer ... submit that site ... yes it is a site! ... after you are approved, then go merrily on your way building more pages, without having to put them in sub-domains,and add your Adsense code..You can even build more incomplete sites, and add your addsense code.

If you can't do the sub-domain thing, and your site obviously isn't finished ... dead links, blank pages, etc ... then make your site smaller. Get rid of the 'sorry folks only 1 page is ready, but the other 2000 pages will be online soon' message.
Remember:the site,no matter how small, must have value to the surfer.

No,you are not cheating.

good luck,and your welcome.

We believe that google stuff will measure the quality of traffic getting from your site. This analisys is based on post-click activity.

BTW our site was aproved in seconds.

I was approved in seconds with a tiny site. No dead links, but not much content yet either. You don't need much.

In order to make Adsense WORK for you, you'll have to have a decent site worth the traffic. But I think Google figured that prescreening wasn't really necessary in most cases. As long as you've got a site, and the site works, you can have Adsense.

maybe they turned you down because yours is a sales site, and not an info site.
you have tons of your own ads,and googles' ads would be lost on your site.
also, why on earth would you want to distract your hard earned visitors from your ads??
Tom
P.S.: nice site.

Hi,

Their reply,

Hello,

Thank you for your interest in Google AdSense. After reviewing your
application, our specialists have found that the website currently
associated with your account does not meet our program criteria.
Therefore, we are unable to accept you into our program.

We have certain policies in place that we believe will help ensure the
effectiveness of the AdWords ads for our publishers as well as for our
advertisers. We review all publishers, and we reserve the right to
decline any application. As we grow, we may find that we are able to
expand our program to more web publishers with a wider variety of web
content.

Please note that we may not be able to respond to inquiries regarding
the specific reasons for our decision. Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,

The Google Team

Ref the Ads on my site, I was planning to replace these with Adsense, but there was no narrative box on the application to explain that.

When being turned down by Adsense, it might be best to modify you site, then re-apply to their program. If you are turned down again, it may be best if you email them asking why.

Other than that, it might be best if you try using some other ppc search engines to earn some extra income from.
