It was great to meet so many forum lurkers at the SES conference in Chicago!

Now, all of you who told me you'd stop lurking and post, follow up!

So many nice people- we had a great time. So c'mon- you weren't too shy to introduce yourself to Jill and/or me, so speak up and say hello now.

(David Warmuz from Trellian- no sheep jokes, please.)

umm...I'm not exactly a lurker. Or a sheep for that matter. No herd (or is that flock?) mentality around here. :ghost:

But it was nice to meet ya'll in Chicago. Hope everybody else got home safe.

For my part, I managed to beat the snowstorm (thankfully) though it's looking like a blizzard outside this morning. I guess that means I should finish putting up my Christmas decorations and get all of the lights hooked up, hunh?

How's the cold coming along Scottie? See what you get for hanging around too close to Danny when he's not feeling well? :tooth: (Everybody should ask Scottie how she got her cold... It'll make a great rumor!)

Great time in Chicago! I enjoyed meeting everyone very much =)

I do hate that I didn't see Randy...or maybe I did, since I have NO clue what he looks like!!!!!!!!!

BTW everyone.....Scottie's hair is really not blonde....it's RED and she really DOES bounce around like her 'snowman with ADHD' avatar!!

Jill doesn't really look like Jill, at least not to me =). Seems everyone else thinks she looks exactly like herself.....maybe it was the Corona I was seeing through???
Actually, I think it because she is Tiny little thing....I guess I expected her to be a big old grinch  LOL

Barry's profile looks exactly like Barry however, Barry's front view looks like someone else.....almost =) what a cutie....and that accent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Christine looks like Christine and Ed looks EXACTLY like ED!!

How bout that :ghost:

I thought Ed looked like Christine, and I looked like Scottie...

but what do I know...

At any rate, the conference inspired me to create a new site called SEO Bitches.

Check it out...

Yeahhhh!!!

That picture is too dang good. I would of joined in, but I'm more of a home body and I don't like the taste of alcohol that much. :ghost:

Barry rocks, Leann is as spunky as her posts and I thought everyone looked about as they do in their picture.

Many people said (maybe it was just Ed, but I think I saw 4 of him by then), that Hppckmn was hard to say and remember. So I'll have to change that to Paul or Jahn or Paul J or somethin'. I'll send a PM soon, Scottie!

LOL! Too funny.

The cold is finally getting better, thanks! I could barely talk yesterday. (It's the cold. Had nothing to do with sitting at the bar and laughing at Barry all night.) Glad you made it home ahead of the storm, Randy!

I need to get the pictures put up- I don't see one of you Randy... I know I took pictures that first night at the bar. I think I must be missing a media card- must go look.

I need to contact Rob Snell and get him to scan and post the cartoons he drew- the wombat was a hoot. But then, someone would have to explain them and then we'd be back at sheep jokes again... He needs to come publish the Bruce Clay predictions about yahoo stores anyway.

LOL- Paul doesn't drink. :D Yeah, Paul. I think I tried to pronounce hppckmn a couple of times... Paul J is much better.

Oh we don't drink much either - Kool aid mostly. Right Scottie??

We can't forget Bruce Clay's new line of designer SEO clothes, made for the discriminating SEO - no guinea pig SEOs can wear them.

Jennifer Laycock's thoughts about Chicago SES 2003

She heard lots of interesting things I never heard about. I should probably attend more sessions! :D

Man, I AM in trouble if I confused Leann with Ed (no offense, Ed :D ). Although he did say I needed a name change, too.

It was definitely cool to meet all the different people. The Karcher Group people, HorseCove, Barry,... I know I'm missing a bunch of others. Not to mention all the great sessions. I've got my book open right now reading notes.

Paul,

Are you saying that I look like ED, or 4 Eds? And the "no offense" remark goes to Ed?

:D

Man, all I do is get in trouble.

Nope, you don't look like Ed or 4 of him.

The "no offense" went to Ed by insulting his looks, or to you by me not remembering who said to change my name.

Ok, now I'm confused. :D

Jennifer Laycock's thoughts about Chicago SES 2003

Jennifer brought some awesome fudge that somehow ended up in our room. Thank goodness, or I wouldn't have had breakfast at all! :D
