I know this may seem like a silly question but I have been doing some research on some of these "social networking" websites, trying to see what some keywords that they are optimizing for. (More out of curiosity than anything else) And have seen that my space in particular has the same title tags for each page. When I tried to view the source the notepad came up blank. Can anyone explain this to me? Thanks

I wouldn't say the site is "optimized" in the traditional sense. Doesn't seem like they really need to be either as their goal is be a place for social networking and then make money by allowing advertisers to make sure they are represented in that space. They've got the social networking down and I am sure advertisers are beating down their doors for representation.

The few myspace profiles I've wanted to revisit, that I don't have bookmarked, are darned near impossible to find in search engines. There is nothing remotely optimal about a MySpace page with resect to search engines. If I had to help someone optimize a MySpace account, I would probably just advise them to get a lot of links.
And I wouldn't offer any guarantees.

This could be one of two things. Either the code is just lower in the view source page and you have to scroll down, or your IE cache is full and then it won't allow you to view source.

Ahh, I see. Ya its interesting to me that they seem to steer clear of being crawled yet I have seen certain Myspace profiles come up in the SERP's for certain, obscure keywords. Thanks guys
